Dr. Jeffrey Williamson, a native of Lincoln, Illinois, joined Mid Illini Surgical Associates in 1992.  He received his medical degree from the University of Illinois – Abraham Lincoln School of Medicine in Chicago in 1981. 

He completed his internship and residency at Cook County Hospital and the University of Illinois in Chicago and his Fellowship in Colon and Rectal surgery at Ferguson Clinic in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  He received his Board Certifications from The American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery.  He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria.

As a colorectal surgeon, Dr. Williamson has expertise in evaluating and treating colon polyps, colon cancer, anal fissures, diverticulitis, hemorrhoids, and other colon and rectal disorders.

Dr. Williamson is a member of the Active Medical Staff at UnityPoint Health Methodist | Proctor, OSF St. Francis Medical Center, and Pekin Hospital.

Dr. Williamson and his wife Jane reside in Peoria and are the parents of five children.  In their spare time they enjoy traveling to visit their family and supporting the Fighting Illini and Boy Scouts of America.
